Leiden Hotels Accommodation
HOLLAND Readers's Tips -
Having stayed for about ten days at The Ambassade in 2004, I would recommend it highly.Staff are professional and pleasant and uniformly helpful; housekeeping standards are very high; and the rooms, on whole, are quite spacious by Amsterdam standards. The hotels position on one of the handsomest stretches of the perhaps the finest canal, the Herengracht, makes it a great pleasure to come and go, or to enjoy the views from the vast windows of the canalside rooms.Canal rooms may be reserved in advance, and the premium is negligable.he Junior Suites are a very good value as well, and more than spacious.he situation is as quiet as will be found in the city, yet very convenient to shops and easily within walking distance of most anything in the broadly defined central portion of the city.As several townhouses joined, rooms do vary, so it is worth asking the staff as to which rooms are best.ecor is perhaps a bit dated in taste, though very well maintained: here and there the look veers a bit toward 1960s Gabor Sisters glamor.Near the reception desk is a small room with PCs for collecting email, or web brousing.ooms are well appointed. There are better choices (Blakes, SevenOneSeven, though a bit less central, and at vastly more expensive.aving stayed at some fivestar hotels in Amsterdam, this choice is much my preference and a much better value.Best of all is the pleasure of enjoying an exceptional canal view from large, pleasant rooms.
